Describe the components of the criminal justice system and the criminal justice process. There are three components for the criminal justice system is the police, the courts and then corrections. The police enforce the law by apprehending offenders, investigating crimes and also trying to prevent crimes among other things. The courts conduct fair and impartial trials; they determine criminal cases and decide if an offender is guilty or innocent along with many other things. Corrections carry out sentences that have been decided by the courts, they protect the public, and they rehabilitate; reform and reintegrate convicted offenders back into society (2011 CJi Interactive).. College Essay (Soccer) Free Essays

As a senior, my team and I take our first step onto the turf field; we go on as a family that is striving to bring home the cup. This is my first, yet last chance to do this. The heat from the turf moves through my cleats and onto my feet. We will write a custom essay sample on College Essay (Soccer) or any similar topic only for you Order Now The intensity of the sun is shining straight down on me and the sweat is just beginning to start. Then my mind rewinds back to those few words that crushed me terribly last year coming from the varsity soccer coach, â€Å"I think it’d be best if you played on junior varsity this season. I spent countless nights being angry that I did not make varsity and I felt somewhat like a loser because I was a junior playing on the JV team. After a few weeks, I figured it was pointless to feel pity for myself and decided that I was going to show everyone how great I could be. Soccer has been my addiction since I was five and nothing could ever replace the desire for it. My father taught me the rules and coached me; I was set on making sure I knew every aspect of the game, attempting to perfect every skill. I was in complete disbelief when I was not put on the varsity squad, I thought I was good. I knew I had to get better because there is always room for progress. My first step was to improve my physical condition by running and lifting. Running was something that I dreaded to do every day, but knew it was so vital to do. I absolutely despised running, every time I wanted to stop I would just think, â€Å"A starter wouldn’t stop running until they’ve reached the end†. Lifting weights was an activity that I found enjoyable and did not mind doing. Besides exercising, I spent numerous hours working on my ball skills; juggling, controlling, and passing everything a starting player should be precise at. Finally, after many long months, my hard work had paid off. During tryouts I showed everyone that I was a zealous and determined player, taking practice serious and hustling for every drill. The varsity coach awarded me with a starting position for the team my senior year. My determined work ethic, initiative and discipline helped me to get where I am now. To this day I continue to work hard at every practice, even though I am starter. Slacking off is not an option for me. I have applied this lesson to many areas in my life including school work, sports and volunteer work. I am not a quitter and am never satisfied until I achieve my goals. A Symbol Of Neglect Essay Research Paper free essay sample

A Symbol Of Neglect Essay, Research Paper A Symbol of Neglect Merely when the nowadays has become the past can we reflect on what we could hold or should hold done. Yet our society is so haunted with maintaining path of clip that we spend 1000000s of dollars a twelvemonth to maintain a set of atomic redstem storksbills clicking the clip. These redstem storksbills are so accurate that they must be reset one time a twelvemonth to rectify for the Earth # 8217 ; s imperfect orbit. Our base-60 step of clip is an abstract thought dating from the Babylonians. All this, and what most human heads per se understand about clip is the past, present and future. I say most heads, because non every head does grok these abstract thoughts. Many people are able to last in the present, but give small or no idea to the hereafter, and these people normally live in the past. Such a head is the head of Miss Emily Grierson in William Faulkner # 8217 ; s A Rose for Emily. Emily Grierson survives in the present, but lives in the yesteryear. The morbid stoping is foreshadowed by the narrative # 8217 ; s opening with Miss Emily Grierson # 8217 ; s decease and funeral. The eccentric result is farther emphasized throughout by the symbolism of the decaying house, which parallels Miss Emily # 8217 ; s physical impairment and demonstrates her ultimate mental decomposition. Her life, like the house which decays around her is a direct consequence of life in the yesteryear. Part of life is decease, and the hereafter conjures life, the yesteryear, and decease. Emily # 8217 ; s instability of past and present causes her to confound the life with the dead. Possibly the most outstanding illustration of Emily # 8217 ; s confusion is the carcase of Homer Barron lying in the honeymoon room of Emily # 8217 ; s house. This division is exemplified by the symbolic imagination of Faulkner. The rose coloured room, a colour of life, is covered thickly with dust, a symbol of decease. Of class, this is non the first clip we learn of Emily # 8217 ; s confusion. Previous to Barron # 8217 ; s find, her male parent dies, and she denies that he is dead. Faulkner gives the reader a gustatory sensation of this confusion early on when Miss Emily instructs the town tax-collectors to confer with with Colonel Sartoris about her revenue enhancements, though he had been dead for 10 old ages. At this predicting point in the narrative, Emily seems to be a doddering old amah ; th is could non be further from the truth. The external features of Miss Emily # 8217 ; s house parallel her physical visual aspect to demo the transmutation brought about by old ages of disregard. For illustration, the house is located in what was one time a outstanding vicinity that has deteriorated. Originally white and decorated in # 8220 ; the to a great extent tripping manner # 8221 ; of an earlier clip, the house has become â€Å"an eyesore among eyesores† . Through deficiency of attending, the house has evolved from a beautiful representative of quality to an ugly hangover from another epoch. Similarly, Miss Emily has become an eyesore ; for illustration, she is foremost described as a â€Å"fallen monument† , to propose her former magnificence and her ulterior grotesquery. Like the house, she has lost her beauty. Once she had been â€Å"a slender figure in white† ; subsequently she is corpulent and â€Å"bloated, like a organic structure long submerged in inactive H2O with eyes lost in the fatty ridges of her face† . Both house and resident have suffered the depredations of clip and disregard. The inside of the house besides parallels Miss Emily # 8217 ; s increasing devolution and the turning sense of unhappiness that accompanies such decay. Initially, all that can be seen of the interior of the house is # 8220 ; a dim hall from which a stairway mounted into still more shadow # 8221 ; with the house smelling of # 8220 ; dust and neglect # 8221 ; . The darkness and the odor of the house connect with Miss Emily, # 8220 ; a little, fat adult female in black # 8221 ; with a voice that is # 8220 ; dry and cold # 8221 ; as if it were dark and dust-covered from neglect like the house. The similarity between the interior of the house and Miss Emily extends to the # 8220 ; tarnished gilding easel # 8221 ; with the portrayal of her male parent and Miss Emily # 8220 ; tilting on an coal black cane with a tarnished gold caput # 8221 ; . Inside and out, both the edifice and the organic structure in which Miss Emily live are in a province of impairment like tarnished metal . Finally, the townsfolk # 8217 ; s descriptions of both house and occupant reveal a common intractable haughtiness. At one point the house is described as # 8220 ; stubborn # 8221 ; as if it were disregarding the environing decay. Similarly, Miss Emily proudly overlooks the impairment of her once expansive abode. This motive recurs as she denies her male parent # 8217 ; s decease, refuses to discourse or pay revenue enhancements, ignores town chitchat about her being a # 8220 ; fallen adult female, # 8221 ; and does non state the pharmacist why she is buying arsenic. Both the house and Miss Emily go traps for that strongest representative of the 20th century, Homer Barron, labourer, foreigner, confirmed unmarried man. Merely as the house seems to reject advancement and updating, so does Miss Emily, until both of them become disintegrating mistimings. Through descriptions of the house that resemble descriptions of Miss Emily Grierson, # 8220 ; A Rose for Emily # 8221 ; emphasizes the manner that beauty and elegance can go monstrously distorted through disregard and deficiency of love. In this narrative, the house deteriorates for 40 old ages until it becomes ugly ; Miss Emily # 8217 ; s physical and emotional status dissipate in a similar mode.

15 Hilarious Pranks to Pull on College Friends

15 Hilarious Pranks to Pull on College Friends Oh Lord, there are so many hilarious pranks to pull on college friends. Listen, if you’re looking for prank ideas and don’t want to get sucked into hours of prank videos, this article is for you. Here are 15 that you can always count on, as long as they go off without a hitch and are executed safely. #1 Tape the Contents of Their Trash to Their Door Make a statement. You can find out a fair amount about a person by exposing their trash. Go into their room, especially if they’re super-messy and tape everything (within reason of course) that’s trash onto their door and let them know it’s time to clean up! #2 Fill Their Dorm Room with Popcorn This is a cheap and easy trick. Making it goes really quick and you can easily fill an entire dorm room with only about 8 or 9 bags which cost maybe $2 each. Transporting it is easy as well†¦.industrial-sized trash bags. The trick is that ideally you should be able to leave the room through the window so you can make the popcorn 5 feet tall (or more)! #3 Put a Dead Thing in Their Cereal No, not a real dead thing, but a realistic looking one. It’s not over-the-top but it works (especially on girls) you could either big a furry spider in there of substantial size, a small snake, or perhaps even a rate. #4 Change Their Computer Log-In Sounds This is truly legendary. If you can get their log in information, or get into the computer while they’re away change the log-in sound to something crazy. Anything from a full-on gun fight to a ground shaking explosion with screams of terror. Then, turn their sound system up super-loud (not so loud you blow speakers) so that the next time they expect to hear some pleasant sound suddenly they’re under siege and could potential crap themselves. #5 The Almighty Soda Bomb Mentos are pretty old. But, what you do is put a tiny hole through one, latch it onto a string and then drop it into a big bottle of soda and close the cap tightly. Simply put it back in the fridge and wait. The next person who opens that will be bombarded with fizz and syrup unlike anything they’ve ever experienced before. #6 Butter Tiles Again, cheap and easy but effective. If you have any tiles, butter them up and then wait because regardless of what kind cleats someone may be wearing they’re going to end up on their butt. Really good for roommates or college friends with hard wood floors. # 7 Completely Cover them in Flour While they Sleep Don’t pour it on so they wake up. No, instead grab like 10 bags of flour (that’s a pretty hefty clean up job remember) and slowly stealth fully cover your college buddy while they sleep. Flour is actually quite comfortable. #8 Early Alarm + Flattened Tires They’re the type of person that jet’s out of bed last minute, scrambles onto their bikes and heads off to class. Okay, so set the alarm an hour ahead of schedule (and any other clocks in the room along with it) and then flatten the tires so they think they’re going to be late. #9 Put a Fake Person In their Bed Get a realistic looking mannequin and sneak them into bed next to someone. Making the mannequin’s face scary is a bonus. They could wake up in the night screaming, or they could wake up in the morning to an unexpected stranger. Hilarious. #10 Opposite Side Switch This one doesn’t make a mess, it’s free and it’s funny. While they’re away at class sneak into their room and switch everything to the opposite side so it’s a perfect match. Then, when they bring it to your attention, seriously act as if they’re nuts and it’s been that way the whole time. If you can hold your composure it will play an epic mind prank on them. #11 Early Morning Shower Prank Simply sneak into the dorm shower while they’re getting ready for another day of collegiate labor and steal their towel and clothes so they will have no other option but to grab the shower curtain. However, this may not occur to them for some time. #12-   Shaving Cream Floor Cover the floor, completely, in fragrant shaving cream. Super cheap, and not as hard to clean up. #13 Wrapping Paper Room Grab some festive wrapping paper and thoroughly set about wrapping their entire room in it. Even if it takes 10 rolls, that’s probably only $20 to do a full single dorm room. #14 Pubic Hair + Superglue Seriously, if they have a problem cleaning up their pubes, then (with gloves on) grab a bunch of the stuff and super clue it to something that’s valuable enough to them that they’ll get the point. #15 Wake Up in Unexpected Places If they’re a heavy sleeper or utterly passed out, have them wake up in a strange place. This is so awesome when pulled off correctly. We had to boil it down to these because there are hundreds of pranks out there. But, with a little creativity you could come up with just about anything. Check out even more cruel but funny roommate pranks! How about it gang, what kinds of pranks have you played on college friends that they’ll never forget?

Compare and Contrast of Macbeth Essays

Compare and Contrast of Macbeth Essays Compare and Contrast of Macbeth Paper Compare and Contrast of Macbeth Paper Behavior of Macbeth Macbeth was not always the cold-blooded killer that one may depict in the later acts of Macbeth. At the start of the play, Macbeth could be described as a loyal hero who aimed at serving his king. However, when Macbeth came across the opportunity to seize the throne, he capitalized on it. After killing the king Macbeth changes personality and becomes extremely paranoid. I believe if Macbeth would have stayed loyal and respected the king, Scotland would have stayed peaceful. Macbeth murdered King Duncan in order to fulfill his prophecy of being king, as the witches informed him. Another detail of the prophecy to consider is Banquds future. The witches say to him Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none, meaning, mfou will never be King of Scotland, but your descendants will. Macbeth takes a mental note of this statement and the Jealousy eats away at his morals. Due to Macbeths paranoia after killing King Duncan, he makes a rash decision and sends wo murderers to seek out Banquo and his son. Although Banquds son, Fleance, escapes, the murderers execute Banquo. The paranoia of Macbeth becomes more noticeable as the play progresses, an example being the banquet scene at his residence. He has uncontrolled outbursts alarming all of the guests present at his home. Macbeth becomes unstable and is not able to continue with the dinner. He would have never acted in such a way had he not murdered King Duncan and Banquo. Macduff beheads Macbeth, seeking revenge or the murders of his wife and children, after Macbeth defeats Young Siward in battle. Malcolm is crowned King of Scotland after Macbeth is overthrown. Shortly after, Malcolm begins to feel like a target to his Jealous brother, Donalbain. Malcolm takes action and executes his own brother. Worried that his decision may be questioned, Malcolm recruits two murderers and sends them to kill anyone who raises suspicion. Scotland falls into shambles as the newly crowned king follows in the footsteps of Macbeth. Scotland is described as a peaceful land while the well-respected King Duncan reigned. However, the murder of King Duncan can be directly related to the fall of Scotland. Before learning of the Kings death, Lennox predicts the upcoming disorder, signified by nature. Scotland is thrown into a state of upheaval as Macbeth reins king. Consider the circumstance that Lady Macbeth did not push Macbeth into committing the murder. I believe that Scotland remains serene under the rule of King Duncan. Compare and Contrast of Macbeth By tonydz24

Analyze Why I went to the woods of Henry David Thoreau Essay

Analyze Why I went to the woods of Henry David Thoreau - Essay Example Since the present times are driven by digital innovations, facilities and other leverage and benefits being provided through the overall progress, therefore jungle life as is related to the historic people and stone age cannot be lived by the contemporary man based on the facilities and the environment that has been enjoyed by them. His experience is based upon the fact that he had undertaken tests and tribulation towards deciding a place prior to settling at a place. The decision came up after massive investigation and assessment of the places and subsequently deciding upon a place which he could relate to. He was in search of the place that would allow him the feel of nature and keep his soul at comfort and peace. Other purposes behind his expedition and adventure was to realize and assess for the benefits that are being provided by the nature, and the artificial environment that has been overtaken by the mankind which has led to an alienation from the real structure of society and earth and this in turn makes it difficult for the mankind to live in a natural way that comes in form of the woods and jungle life. Hence it can be safely said that these conditions do not apply to the 21st century and a person living in sophisticated urban environment may find it nearly impossible to live in the woods as he does not have any of the facilities that he is used to otherwise. Although the author has taken up the case for the purpose of bring himself closer to the nature and natural existence, yet for any other ordinary citizen it would be difficult to adjust and relate to the woods as there are hardly as facilities that may be available to them in the woods (Thoreau). The purpose of the author was to provide the readers with an insight into the differences and the possible shift over which is often questioned and desired by the person who get distasted from the civilized modern day society and

Moreover, ethical standards form the guiding principles for various managerial decisions that get stuck in different types of dilemmas. Ethics involves moral issues and choices and deals with right and wrong behavior (Luthans, 1998; p.72). This behavior is with respect to employees, managers, organizations to the environment etc. The most significant role in maintaining ethical standards is played by members in t he leadership positions. Ethical behavior is demonstrated by the leaders in maintaining business ethics on a regular basis. For people in the leadership role, their character is extremely important to make an impact. This character is judged based on their actions and not words. Hence, ethical behavior becomes all the more important for leaders. In her article in the Forbes, Chairman of the board at Deloitte & Touche, Sharon Allen (2007) puts it, â€Å"ethical leadership counts--on the job and everywhere else that our employees and fellow citizens watch, assess and ultimately transform the examples of leaders into actions of their own.† This clearly exemplifies what kind of impact leaders can have on their followers through ethical behavior. Further Allen (2007) explains that behavior of leaders give their followers clues about their personal value systems and set an example for the behavior that is considered as right. If leaders expect their followers to exhibit and adhere to specific business behavior, then such behavior has to be demonstrated by the leaders. If they lack or fail to do so, then followers will emulate their leaders’ behavior, even if unethical. Recently, the New York Times reported internal charges levied against one of the union leaders of the Service Employees International Union for improper usage of funds official funds, which was not accounted for in the right manner. This report stated, â€Å"The charges accuse Mr. Raynor of falsely stating that he had 10 meals, costing $186 to $275, with a male union lawyer instead of the person he had actually dined with: Alex Dagg, a female executive vice president of Workers United and one of its Canadian directors. The charges call for ousting him from his Workers United and S.E.I.U. posts, and state that he had falsified union records and made improper personal expenses† (Greenhouse, 2011, March 30). This charge is a serious offence because the union leader falsified organiza tion’s money and also provided misleading information. If this behavior is ignored, then it might encourage sequence of such behaviors, which his followers too might adopt. In order to promote ethical behavior, organizations adopt ethical practices such as organizational values and ethical standards in all actions and communicating the same to its employees through various media. Ethical standards have to pertain to

White-Privilege Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

White-Privilege - Essay Example ply believed as an outright fact that whites were superior, now this has become an insidious sociological norm that often goes completely unnoticed. To get rid of this delusional thought of white privilege, people must realize their equality with others. Firstly, a working definition of this invisible advantage needs to be understood to create a common ground for discussion. White privilege is the unremitting belief that this group has the only correct standards, morals, opinions etc. to the absolute exclusion of any other racial groups ideals or beliefs. In the enforcement of these standards greater and greater societal distances are built up between the white and the non-white racial groups. Consequently, this results in the constantly reinforced belief that whites deserve this extra "allocation of resources" and greater success because of some inherent superiority that they innately possess. All other groups are simply responsible for their own difficulties, which has nothing to do with any white privilege (Hays & Chang 135). It is held in firm belief that white privilege means that the white race is in a better social place than with other races. Presently and historically we see these racial attitudes represented in all levels of society and government as well as business and education. They are here personified by past President Thomas Jefferson. His thoughts on the subject are representational of the general beliefs held at the time. Jefferson wrote Notes on the State of Virginia and while the greater part of the book was devoted to the topography of the land and its bounty, one small section addressed the concerns of the politicians and the people of the state regarding its black community. It is interesting to note that at the time slavery was so accepted that that particular word, slavery, is no where to be found in this short section, this is merely taken as a fact, no need to mention it. This section turns into a mostly biological treatise that talks

Economic Growth Rate of Malaysia

Economic Growth Rate of Malaysia After world recession the rates of growth were changed from last years the same as Malaysia (graphs bellow). Malaysia has been feeling the result of global economic decline, principally in the last quarter of 2008. Exports and investment had focused during the time that consequently caused real GDP growth to decelerate sharply to a marginal 0.1%.In the face of increasing global economic complexities, the Government had reported the second Stimulus package of RM60 billion in March 2009 in order to prevent the domestic economy from reducing and fall into a deep recession. Over 2009 and 2010, the package implemented that also help employment, private division investment and consumption as well as providing social safety net. In November 2008, the Government had announced the first stimulus package amounting to RM7.0 billion. The fiscal stimulus packages are to compliment expansionary monetary policy to help support domestic spending and overall economic growth. The Government recently r evised downward the countrys GDP predict for 2009 to between minus 5.0% and minus 4.0% from its earlier projection of minus 1.0% to 1.0%. The revision was made after first quarter 2009 GDP shrank a worse than expected 6.2%. This is the first decline since third quarter of 2001 (-0.4%). Whole the world was found a bad circumstances in recession and inflation, and this data demonstrated the responsibilities of Malaysia government for prevent its country in against of inflation and its affection on lifes quality. In short, The Malaysian economy recorded a moderation in 2008 affected by the sharp deterioration in global economy as the US sub-prime mortgage problems evolved into a full-blown global financial crisis. The deterioration in external demand had adversely affected the countrys export and investment performance, while slowing down spending on consumption. As an open economy, Malaysia is experiencing the stronger impact of global economic crisis this year and the countrys real GDP could also slip into recession after posting a moderate 4.6% growth last year. A number of monetary and fiscal policy measures have also been announced by the Government to help support the economy. While the fiscal stimulus involves high budgetary cost to the Government, and the fiscal deficit will significantly expand, the expansionary policy responses are necessary to help prevent the economy from sliding into a deeper downturn. However, the positive effects of these policy measures can only be achieved following their quick and effective implementation. Economic growth take places whenever people take resources and reorganize them in ways that are more valuable. A useful metaphor for production in an economy comes from the kitchen. To create valuable final products, we mix low-cost ingredients together according to a recipe. The cooking one can do is limited by the supply of ingredients, and most cooking in the economy produces undesirable side effects. If economic growth could be achieved only by doing more and more of the same kind of cooking, we would eventually run out of raw materials and suffer from unacceptable levels of pollution and nuisance. We learn from human history that, however, economic growth springs from better recipes, not just from more cooking. New recipes usually produce less unpleasant side effects and produce more economic value per unit of raw material. Every generation has perceived the limits to growth that limited resources and undesirable side effects would pose if no new recipes or ideas were discovered. Moreover, every generation has underestimated the potential for finding new recipes and ideas. We constantly fail to grasp how many ideas remain to be discovered. The difficulty is the same one we have with compounding: possibilities do not merely add up. In 1997, Malaysia suffered from a harsh blow by the Southeast Asian financial crisis, the exchange rate of Malaysian currency ringgit against the U.S. dollar has decreased 46%, the composite index of stock market fell more than half. In 1998, Malaysias economy first, started the negative growth (-7.5%) since last 13 years, after that unemployment and inflation rates increased. In September 1998, Malaysian Government adopted the expansionary monetary policy, then the introduction of selective capital and currency control calculates came out. The major content concentrated on the regulation of short-term foreign investment, the Ringgit Malaysia against the U.S. dollar exchange rate will be fixed at the level of 1:3.8, and then government announced the prohibition of offshore ringgit transactions. After that, Malaysia financial situation was being stabilized, the stock market had also been gradually recovered, and an annual economic average growth rate has remained above 8% since that y ear. In recent years, Malaysian saw the stable exchange rate of currency, restructuring of bank corporate debt, expanding demand of domestic and new export policies, the economy of Malaysia has maintained a rapid growth. Government had stressed some important implementations to fiscal deficit, for example, the abolition of a number of costly image projects, especially focusing on the construction and other basic industries such as agriculture. Government recommends the consuming and investing behaviours, so now the private sectors are as the countrys new economic growth pillars. At the same time, government encourages the development of tourism, education and achieves economic diversification. To increase the economic growth rate, first, must minimize the costs and absorb more investment. Now we can see there are many countries are competing with each other, they fight just because they want more investment, but this behavior may lower the standard, as well as reducing the variety of requirements. So, all of these are losses to us. Malaysia can do something to avoid this situation. For example, help Malaysian tourism to be revitalized. In addition, Malaysia government also does not want to lower the standards. Otherwise, they must further maintain a high standards and own brand. Malaysia government needs to have some of their own methods and measures, not just to say that they refuse all the recommendations from west, but in fact, they just need to achieve a balance. We may feel that the west measures depend on the transparency and accountability. However, the fact in Asian countries, this has been a weakness, they always say that there would be many stimulus packages, and the unnoticed part is not fully utilized or the part of measures we want from west for focusing on the accountability, which was mentioned above, while strengthening auditing the standards. By this way, Malaysia government can help the people, not by a number of external affairs of the harm and impact, these things are already not aware by them, and no longer their responsibility. If Malaysia attempts to achieve a faster economic growth rate according to the current global situation, I think, compare with the advantages obtained already, Malaysia citizens will burden more disadvantages once government makes this decision. For example, unemployment and economic growth are negative correlation, that is, economic growth rate rises, unemployment rate declines; on the contrary, economic growth rate declines, unemployment rate rises. On the other hand, inflation and economic growth is related so closely, it means that the high economic growth rate has generally been accompanied by a high rate of inflation. First, the rapid economic growth, will further stimulate the growth of investment, but also increase a substantial demand in aggregate, thus contributing to a increase in prices which leads to the inflation; if Malaysia government lower the speed too fast, although the prices may be stabilized for a while, but also will bring problemssupplies are reduced, and many companies will be in cut-off, semi cut-off state, even some workers will lose their livelihood security which also causes the social instability(this is already happened on Malaysia export industries a few years ago). Nevertheless, if the economy is growing too fast, obviously exceeded the scope of resources, which will cause a serious inflation. About the rising prices, especially the sharp rise in prices will affect the economy continues to grow rapidly. Because prices rise sharply is so harmful, the state will adopt austerity measures to curb inflation. The contraction speed will lead a sharp declining in economic growth rate or even sustaining a slow economic growth rate. Therefore, during the economic restructuring process of Malaysia, although her economy runs its own complexity and uncertainty, the relevant departments in government must implement the tasks, which are assigned by the citizens to maintain the economic stability of Malaysia.

The Green Mile :: essays research papers

The Green Mile was about a murder of two girls. When the father is told by the mother that the 2 little girls are missing, he gets a whole crowwd together to look for the little girls. They find the girls in the arms of a huge black man (I had to add the about the color of his skin because this part of the story takes place in the 30's and we all know how strong racism was back then). We later find that the man's name us John Coffey. (Just like the drink but not spelled the same.) They take John to jail and everyone is impressed by how large he is. He has huge muscles and he towers over everone. The guard in charge of the green mile goes into the cell that John Coffey is in and removes the cuffs from John's hands. The guard notices that John is very gentle and very kind, and that he has something very special. So for the first couple days The guard watched John carefully, he caused no trouble and John was also quiet. In the first few weeks, they got another prisoner, his name was Wild Bill.Wild Bill was in-fact very wild, he even tried to attack the guards while he was coming in. In the end we all find out that Wild Bill killed (murdered) the two little girls that John Coffey had been convicted of killing. John however, still was sentenced to death. At 11:30 pm the next day John Coffey walked down the green mile. John was placed in the electric chair (ol' sparky) and they placed the mask over his head John told the guard to take off the mask because he was afraid of the dark, and he didnt want to die in the dark. So the guard took off the mask, then placed the wet sponge on his head, they pulled the hood down and put that over top of the wet sponge. The guard yelled "Roll on 2" and they pulled the lever. John Coffey was dead. The guards were so sad they cried, some of them quit just because if that incident. They knew he was innocent but they couldent do anything about it. I think that the books were sad, and very heart pounding.
